GREETINGS FROM A FULL OFFICE! Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers is now a team of seven, gearing up for one of our biggest seasons ever. Following our staff retreat and training, we're excited to get out into the field.
With a busy calendar of backcountry trail-projects, family friendly community gardening, extensive fire restoration, and exciting new trail-building projects, we have something for every volunteer this season. Our educational programs include everything from summer middle school programming to our Tour the Trails hike series.
May is our kick-off month – we hope to see you outdoors soon!

SERVICE LEARNING DAYS
Students in the Outdoor Leadership class at Rifle High School recently attended a service project at Rifle Falls led by RFOV and Colorado Parks & Wildlife. Throughout the day, students learned about the meaning of stewardship and how the concept applies to their everyday life. Students created a positive impact on the trails in Rifle Falls State Park and even remarked how much fun it was to use tools to put in fence posts!

Grizzly Creek Fire: Partners in Renewal
RFOV works closely with the many recreational outfitters in the Grizzly Creek Burn Area, including the Glenwood Adventure Company.
GAC offers biking, hiking, and rafting in the burn area, in addition to operating the Hanging Lake permit system.
By directly supporting restoration efforts at Hanging Lake, in addition to engaging guides and customers in RFOV-led training, Glenwood Adventure Company embraces community-powered stewardship.
