SEASON OF GIVING
CO Gives Day: Help us reach our $30,000!
CO Gives Day 2024 is this Tuesday, December 10th, only 5 days away! This is Colorado's biggest day of giving each year, where whole communities come together to celebrate and support the great work being done by local nonprofits (like RFOV!) Invest in the stewardship of our public lands by making a donation today.
This year, we have a $5,000 match grant secured for CO Gives Day that will double the impact of gifts made on Tuesday the 10th! We hope you'll join in the fun by donating and sharing this fundraiser with others.

YOUNG STEWARDS
Young Stewards Impact
2024 was a record year for RFOV as a whole, but more specifically for our young stewards program. Of the 1,993 volunteers that came out this season to volunteer, 1,455 of those were youth. RFOV worked with more than 20 unique education partners including schools, nonprofits, and other youth-serving organizations, resulting in more than 2,700 hours of student-powered service.
Thank you to all of our young stewards volunteers and partners that helped to make this season the most successful season yet!
Youth In Nature
Last month, Youth In Nature students participated in a stewardship project at the Lunch Loops Trailhead, outside of Grand Junction. After completing two stone checkdams on a popular mountain biking trail, the students met Glenwood Climbing Guides for an afternoon of canyoneering. Students shared an overwhelming sense of accomplishment after completing a route called the Lemon Squeezer, moving through a series of narrow chimneys, topping out on a beautiful mesa through a hole the size of a basketball!
The 2024/25 Youth In Nature cohort consists of 11 students from 6 different area high schools between Parachute and Aspen. Want to know more about the students participating in this year's program?
