Do you have a restoration project in mind for your school?
RFOV is thrilled to offer "Spruce Up Your School," a program aimed at giving back to some of the most important outdoor areas - your own campus!
Together we will devise a plan to achieve some remarkable results for your school. Past activities include:
Creating school gardens.
Maintaining nearby trails.
Grounds cleanup.
Seeding and planting.
Bird, bat, and bee boxes.
Weeding and mulching.
Crafting natural play-scapes.
Establishing native wildflower pollinator gardens.
Creating outdoor learning spaces.
Here’s how the program works:
Before your Project:
RFOV staff will meet with you to answer questions, share insights, and provide recommendations. Together, we'll construct a blueprint for your project with age-appropriate activities. Next, we’ll schedule a presentation at your school to meet with students, set expectations, and ignite enthusiasm for hands-on stewardship.
On Your project day:
RFOV supplies the essential components for an exciting day of student-led stewardship, including staff, tools, training, and expertise. Successful projects include space for games & breaks.
Achievements:
Project days encapsulate enjoyment of outdoor activities and accomplishment of tasks. Our most triumphant projects incorporate a variety of assignments at different stations or rotations.
