From new programs like our Intro to Restoration Training, evening trail maintenance on the popular Mushroom Rock and Blue Ribbon Trails in Carbondale, overnight opportunities to some of our most loved Wilderness routes, family-friendly weekends like the Marble Extravaganza, or a day of planting at the Silt River Preserve, we’ve got something for everyone to get outdoors with Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers!

RFOV AWARDED COLORADO STATE OUTDOOR RECREATION GRANT
RFOV has been selected to receive a grant from the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office for our seasonal trail crew toenhance workforce capacity in trail stewardship. This new grant program, funded through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) as a part of the American Rescue Plan Act, aims to bolster the positive economic impact of the outdoor recreation industry in Colorado.
RFOV will use this funding to hire and train 5 seasonal staff as well as work on public lands with limited local funding to accomplish critical trail maintenance within our region.

Want to take your passion and skills to the next level?
Join us for one of our two-day weekend Crew Leader Trainings to learn everything you'll need to know to help lead other volunteers in trail, restoration, and fire mitigation projects.

VOLUNTEER AS A PROJECT AMBASSADOR
RFOV's community projects depend on Project Ambassadors to sign in and orient volunteers, talk to the community about the project and other RFOV work during the volunteer day, and support general project logistics.

We'll quiz you on everything outdoors - from the exciting to the extreme - while you enjoy delicious food, drinks, and milkshakes for purchase at our hosting venue. No registration is required.

Here's another chance to join RFOV and our program host, Aspen Valley Land Trust (AVLT), for a fun evening.

Coffman Ranch outside of Carbondale
The evening will kick off with a short guided hike before sundown, followed by snacks, warm drinks and lively conversation around the fire. Come connect with people and place, while learning more about how RFOV & AVLT work together to conserve and restore local lands.
There is no cost to attend and all ages are welcome.
