Join us for evening trail maintenance on the popular Mushroom Rock in Carbondale, overnight hitches to some of our most loved Wilderness routes, family-friendly weekends like the Marble Extravaganza, or a day of planting at the Silt River Preserve. The 2023 schedule has something for everyone this year!

SPOTLIGHT ON THE MARBLE EXTRAVAGANZA

Join us for one or both days in June for the annual weekend campout in Marble, with stewardship projects, learning opportunities, and time to hang out. We'll work on trail and restoration projects at the Marble Mill Site, the Raspberry Creek Trail, and the Marble Wetlands. Special activities include a history tour of the Marble Mill Site and a waterfall hike.

RFOV has been selected to receive a grant from the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office for our seasonal trail crew toenhance workforce capacity in trail stewardship. This new grant program, funded through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) as a part of the American Rescue Plan Act, aims to bolster the positive economic impact of the outdoor recreation industry in Colorado.

RFOV will use this funding to hire and train 5 seasonal staff as well as work on public lands with limited local funding to accomplish critical trail maintenance within our region.
