A New Welcome

– TO OUR RFOV COMMUNITY –

NEXT WEEK, AFTER 27 YEARS at our Midland Ave office, RFOV will begin moving our headquarters to the Third Street Center in Carbondale.

As we’ve brought on more staff, tools, and vehicles, our needs have evolved and so RFOV has made the decision to move from our long-time home in downtown Basalt. The new space at the Third Street Center will allow us to store both tools and vehicles easily and safely; host largescale public trainings, events, and meetings; and accommodate staff needs with work space for all employees.

We’re extremely grateful to our longtime landlords Jons and Barb Milnor. Their generous support has enabled RFOV to grow from a staff of one to the 6 full time and 6 seasonal staff that we are today.

We would also like to thank the Town of Basalt, one of RFOV's strongest partners. The town's steadfast belief in the benefit of community non-profits, and in RFOV specifically, has been essential to our ongoing stewardship success. Our transition will not affect RFOV's deep connection to Basalt: staff and board are town residents, and we are planning trails and restoration projects for years to come with the Town.

Though we'll be changing our address, Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers will serve you – our community – with the same passion and dedication that we have every year since 1995.

We hope you'll visit our new home soon!

Warm regards,
Becca Schild
Executive Director
