Before it was a mountain bike paradise, and before it was a shopping district, Wulfsohn nearly burned to the ground: to help prevent another Coal Seam Fire, join with fire experts to learn about and then implement much needed fire mitigation tactics.

Childcare will be available at this project for parents who would like to attend with young children.

  • For ages 4 - 8; free; on-site; for all interested parents who would like to attend as volunteers

  • Activities will include: (a) scavenger hunt with exploration of the mountain park and the theme of wildfire; (b) arts and crafts, including coloring and building out of natural materials; (c) structured play, including games and active reading

  • All activities are specific to this woodland scrub ecosystem, but their structure and content may vary depending upon the size of the group and ages present

Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.

Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.

Cancellation: Our outdoors need volunteers like you! However, if you register and cannot attend, please email info@rfov.org no less that 48 hours in-advance so that we can offer your slot to another participant.
