RFOV strives to create a welcome environment for all community members to take part in hands-on stewardship. Whether you’re a student searching for community service hours or need to complete court-ordered community service for a non-violent offense, you can earn your hours on a RFOV project.
Here’s how:
Plan ahead. We are only able to accommodate volunteers on scheduled Community Projects. The RFOV project calendar is published each March, with projects taking place April through October – and registrations fill up fast! Please plan ahead as far as possible.
Tell us you’re coming. Contact us at 970-927-8241 or info@rfov.org. We can help you find the project that’s right for you based on your interests and number of hours needed, and make sure the Project Manager is prepared to sign any paperwork on site.
Register. Click HERE to sign up for a project. Shortly after a successful registration, you will receive an email with a link to complete a waiver. Please complete the waiver online.
Please note that youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult on single-day projects (16 & 17-year-olds must have signed adult permission), and minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on overnight projects.
Bring your paperwork. Your RFOV Project Manager will discretely sign off on your hours at the end of the project.
What to expect. Typically, volunteers can expect to earn up to 8 volunteer hours on a single-day project and up to 16 volunteer hours on an overnight weekend project. Click HERE for more information.
