Situated at 11,100 feet, Betty Bear Hut is one of the Jewels of the 10th Mountain Division Huts. In 2021, a major wind event caused significant tree windthrow in the vicinity of the hut and severely increased the wildfire risk to the structure and surrounding forest. Come spend a summer weekend at the Betty Bear Hut and work to mitigate this increased threat. RFOV will provide breakfasts and dinners and can work with you to find needed gear. Space is limited.
