Come join RFOV and the Eagle River Coalition for a weekend overnight to create Zeedyk rock structures in the Bohr Flats wetland area near Bond, CO. These structures that provide erosion control and wetland restoration were pioneered by author and scientist, Bill Zeedyk, and will be taught to volunteers by his long-time apprentice, Shawn Conner. Dinner and breakfast will be provided, as well as a celebratory meal following the project. RFOV will provide breakfasts and dinners and can work with you to find needed gear. Volunteers will be meeting at the RFOV office in Carbondale at 6:30 with a project start time of 9. Non-Roaring Fork Valley volunteers will be picked up at the Walcott Park & Ride at 7:45.
Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.
Deposit: $75, due at registration (below). Your deposit will be refunded upon completion of the project, or with a cancellation before June 8. If providing the deposit presents a financial strain for you, please reach out to jdouglas@rfov.org to discuss options.
