Before it was a mountain bike paradise, and before it was a shopping district, the Wulfsohn area was threatened by 2002's Coal Seam Fire. To help reduce the risk of another large wildfire in Glenwood Springs, join with fire experts to learn about and then implement much needed fire mitigation projects.
Childcare will be available at this project for parents who would like to attend with young children.
For ages 4 - 8; free; on-site; for all interested parents and guardians who would like to attend as volunteers
Offered for the first half of the project day - 9am-12:30pm
Activities will include a scavenger hunt, coloring, building and art with natural materials, games, and structured nature play
If minimum registration for childcare is not met by June 7, registrants will be notified of the childcare cancelation via email
Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.
Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.
Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org 48 hours in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Public transportation: RFTA routes RG, BRT, L, HGB; stop: either Glenwood Rec Center or West Glenwood Park & Ride.
