Become a Crew Leader with RFOV!

Our second and last Crew Leader Training of 2018 is next weekend, June 23-24

Don't miss your chance to become a Crew Leader with RFOV! We'll be out in Snowmass Village from 8am-4pm on Saturday and 8am-3pm on Sunday for this training.

In this two-day course, you'll learn what it takes to lead, how to make a trail more sustainable, how to improve the overall volunteer experience, and more. If you consider yourself someone who can motivate others while out on the trail, then this training is for you. We depend on our Crew Leaders to share trail knowledge with volunteers and to give them a rewarding experience that they can hopefully pass along to others. Without a good volunteer experience, stewardship becomes a one-time deal vs. years of giving back to our public lands.

When you Crew Lead, you are part of the experience.

RFOV's Crew Leader Training is taught by several RFOV Crew Leaders who have gained their experience through work with the Forest Service, BLM, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC), and RFOV. Our experienced staff and Crew Leaders will be combining outdoor classroom learning with hands-on trail demonstrations. This is a great opportunity to learn more about how we determine which spots need maintenance and how we can make more sustainable trails. You'll receive a Crew Leader manual as a handy guide, and RFOV will be providing dinner on Saturday.

If you plan on attending Crew Leader Training, you must sign up here or click on the button below. Thank you for becoming a leader on the trails and making it your responsibility to help improve the volunteer experience for others.
