Young Stewards Initiative – 6 Months Later

Last year, Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers received a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) as part of the Garfield County Outdoors coalition. This grant has allowed RFOV to pursue additional youth programming and focus on several key educational areas. These new and expanded youth programs were implemented in the summer of 2018. Following their introduction, RFOV’s Young Stewards Initiative (YSI) programming has reached its highest engagement levels yet during the 2018 – 2019 school year.

Announcing RFOV’s New Executive Director

Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers is proud to announce Ron Rash as the new Executive Director. Ron will take the helm from David Hamilton, the organization’s principal founder and Executive Director since 1995. Ron Rash is an experienced nonprofit executive and advocate for the protection and conservation of wild lands, bringing over 30 years of leadership and outdoor experience to RFOV.

Volunteer Awards 2018

What are these awards and who got ’em? Every year, RFOV staff and our Volunteer Development Committee likes to recognize stand-outs from the public project season. These volunteers were notable throughout 2018, and they are a huge factor behind the success of our 23rd year as an organization.
